Do you know about the CLUE database? Most of us know how important our credit histories are and how they can greatly affect the amount of credit we can obtain, loans, interest rates, various accounts, etc. But when it comes to homeowner’s insurance (as well as automobile), there’s an additional database that exists to keep track of your claims. Insurers can use this information to determine how much of a risk you will be and what your premium should be set at. When you purchase insurance through a new provider, they may (and probably will) pull a report for you from the database. Depending on what’s in that report, you may end up paying more for insurance. I don’t know about you, but I want to know what’s in that database about me. Although great care may go in to making sure the data is accurate, mistakes are always possible. I’ve personally had to go through the process of correcting my report before – it listed other people living at my address that didn’t exist, claims that I’d never filed, and more.
Good news is that just like your credit history, you can now receive your CLUE report for free! Go to the following link to find out how: http://www.choicetrust.com/servlet/com.kx.cs.servlets.CsServlet?channel=welcome&subchannel=clue# If that link fails to work, just go to http://www.choicetrust.com and look for CLUE.
